1.1 Overview
Finqube ("Finqube," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have, in connection with the Finqube desktop application and website (finqube.one) (collectively, the "Service").
1.2 Data Storage — Local Only
Finqube stores all financial data entirely on your local device. Your income records, expenses, invoices, client information, and all other data you enter into the application are saved locally in an encrypted database on your computer. We do not transmit, upload, collect, or store your financial data on any external servers. We only collect your email address and Phone number for maketing services which you can opt out by contacting us
1.3 Information We Collect
a. Account information. When you sign up, we collect information such as your name and email address to create and secure your account.
b. Financial data you provide.Finqube is designed to store the bulk of your financial data — transactions, invoices, client ledgers, savings goals, categories, and bank statement data — locally on your device in an on-device database. This data is not routinely transmitted to our servers except as described below.
c. AI-processed data.When you use AI Features (such as AI bank statement parsing or receipt/OCR scanning), the relevant document, image, or statement data is transmitted to our AI processing infrastructure and/or third-party AI providers solely to generate the parsed output, and is not retained by us for longer than necessary to complete that processing and improve reliability, subject to Section 4 below.
d. Payment information. If you purchase the Pro plan, your payment is handled by a third-party payment processor. We receive confirmation of payment and a transaction reference; we do not collect or store your full card or bank details.
e. Usage & device data. We may collect limited technical data such as app version, device/operating system type, crash logs, and feature usage (e.g., AI sync counts) to maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
f. Backup files. Finqube allows you to export a local backup (.fqb file) of your data. Backup files are stored wherever you choose to save them and are your responsibility.
1.4 Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect:
Any financial data you enter into the application
Personal identification information entered into the application
Usage analytics or behavioural data
Any data that can identify you personally through the application's use
1.5 How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
- Process AI-assisted bank statement parsing and receipt scanning;
- Process payments and manage your subscription/plan status;
- Enforce plan limits (e.g., AI sync quotas);

1.6 How We Share Information
We may share information with:
- Service providers, who help us operate the Service (e.g., cloud infrastructure, AI processing providers, payment processors), bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations;
- Legal authorities, where required to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request;
- Successors, in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy or a policy offering at least equivalent protections.
1.7 Data Retention & Deletion
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the Service and fulfil the purposes described in this Policy.
- Locally stored financial data remains on your device under your control until you delete it.
- Data transmitted to us for AI processing is retained only as long as needed to complete and validate that processing, and is deleted shortly thereafter.
- Account and billing records are retained for as long as your account is active.
When you request deletion of your account or personal data, we will erase your personal data from our systems within 30 days of a verified request, except where we are required to retain certain records to comply with a legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory obligation, to resolve disputes, or to enforce our agreements — in which case we will retain only the data necessary for that purpose and for no longer than required.
To request deletion, contact us through finqube.one/contact.
1.8 Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Where applicable law (such as the GDPR or comparable regimes) grants you these rights, we will honor verified requests in accordance with that law. To exercise any of these rights, contact us through finqube.one/contact.
1.9 International Data Transfers
If you access the Service from outside India, your information may be processed in India or in other countries where our service providers operate. We take steps designed to ensure that any such transfer complies with applicable data-protection law.
1.10 Activation Keys
If you purchase a premium license, your activation key is validated through a secure server request. This request contains only the activation key and a non-identifiable device token. No personal financial data is transmitted during this process.
1.11 Updates and Changes
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Software at any time without notice. We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Software after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.
1.12 Cookies and Tracking
The Finqube download website may use cookies for basic analytics (page visits, download counts). No advertising or tracking cookies are used. No personal data is collected through the website.
1.13 Third-Party Services
The Software uses the following third-party libraries loaded from CDN at runtime:
sql.js (MIT License) — client-side database
Chart.js (MIT License) — data visualisation
Phosphor Icons (MIT License) — iconography
These libraries are loaded from public CDN servers. Standard CDN access logs (IP address, timestamp) may be retained by the CDN providers subject to their own privacy policies.
1.14 Data Security
Because all data is stored locally, you are responsible for the security of your device and the backup of your data. We recommend maintaining regular backups of your Finqube data. We are not liable for any data loss resulting from device failure, accidental deletion, or any other cause.
We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your data, including local, on-device storage for the majority of your financial data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
1.15 Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
1.16 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last Updated" date, and where required by law, we will provide additional notice or seek consent.
1.17 Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India, and any disputes arising from it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, India, as further described in our Terms & Conditions.
